Silently, these nameless spirits float there among the ragged forest and no longer recognize their home. This stunted elm is now their sacred tree.

The painting is inspired by the national romantic role and conflicting fate of the Estonian forest. A shout out to all extinct and endangered species. Poeticly hoping that perhaps the spirits will still keep our spirituality in harmony with the earth.
