THE SILENT GRAMMAR OF DECAY
Solo Exhibition Thule Koda sun exhibition room, Kuressaare, Estonia 12 July- 31 August 2025 Curator: Hanna-Liisa Lavonen Graphic Design: Kertu Rannula The Ehibition explores the slow, layered, and often complex nature of inner transformation expressed through natural processes. It is a poetic journey through settled memories, landscapes, and symbolic natural changes — a way of describing breaking and growth through the language of nature. Fallen trees, crumbling soils, and emerging new life serve as metaphors telling the story of the soul’s change — slow, sometimes painful, but necessary metamorphosis. The works intertwine the rhythms of nature and inner landscapes, presenting encounters at boundaries — between light and shadow, pure and poisonous, the past and the fragile beginnings of new growth. In this space, breaking down is a natural part of the life cycle — a moment when the old falls away to make room for new roots to take hold. The exhibition gathers previously unexhibited works from the artist’s earlier periods, forming a kind of breath — a documentation of one cycle before the beginning of the next.
